When do you plan the early scan, gender determination, or 3D, 4D pre-scan?

You are 6+ weeks pregnant

Schedule your early pre-echo! (If you go for a scan before 6 weeks, you often won't see a heartbeat yet. This can lead to more anxiety).

You are 14/15 weeks pregnant

If you want to know if you're having a boy or a girl, you can schedule a gender determination ultrasound. You can find out immediately during the ultrasound or take it home in an envelope!

You are 22+ weeks pregnant

It feels like a long time since you saw your baby, schedule an extra ultrasound for fun 😊

You are now 24-28 weeks pregnant

This is a perfect moment for your pre-echo! Schedule the 3D ultrasound (30 min) or the comprehensive pre-echo (45 min).

You are 28+ weeks pregnant

Where is the prenatal ultrasound practice located?

TNMC is located in Huizen, Plein 2000 number 127.

When is the best time to schedule an ultrasound?

Actually, I can perform an ultrasound for you at any time during the pregnancy (from 6 weeks). So if you feel uncertain, need confirmation, you are very welcome!

You are a medical ultrasound technician, what does that mean exactly?

I am trained as a midwife and then specialized in ultrasound. First in basic ultrasounds: early ultrasound, dating ultrasound, and growth ultrasound. Then as a TTSEO ultrasound technician: I am trained to perform 20-week ultrasounds.

Can you make medical statements about the ultrasound?

Although I am medically trained, prenatal ultrasounds are not intended as medical checks.
Of course, I look with a medical eye and if I notice something, I will discuss it with you and advise you to contact your midwife or gynecologist.
If you have medical concerns about your baby before the ultrasound, I recommend discussing them with your healthcare provider.

When is the best time to have a 3D/4D ultrasound done?

For the best images, I recommend a period between 24 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. During this time, the face is often still clearly visible and your baby has enough space to show beautiful movements.

What if my baby is not clearly visible?

Babies sometimes have their own plans. Is your baby lying with hands and feet in front of the face? Or facing the back? Then it can be difficult to get nice pictures.
Depending on the number of photos, you may come back again if it really doesn't work to capture your baby on image.

Can I just have a prenatal ultrasound if I am under care elsewhere?

Yes, that is certainly possible! Everyone is welcome. It doesn't matter which midwifery practice or gynecologist you are under care with.

Do you also provide pregnancy education?
