Frequently asked questions about birth preparation

When is the best time to start and how is it structured?

You can start from the moment you are pregnant, but most women begin between 20 and 35 weeks of pregnancy. The course consists of short, clear modules that you can follow at your own pace. We prepare you not only for the birth but also for the period afterwards: recovery, sleep, mental changes, relationships, and the transition to motherhood.

How long do I have access?

You have access to the course for 6 months, so you can also revisit parts after the birth whenever you feel the need.

Is this also suitable if I have given birth before?

Indeed. Many women find that during a second or third pregnancy, they look at the birth and the period afterwards differently. The New Mom Club helps you not only prepare practically but also to reflect more consciously on recovery, energy, and the mental transition to motherhood. Does the health insurer cover part of it?

This varies by health insurer and additional package. Some insurers reimburse (part of) pregnancy courses. Please inquire with your own insurance.

What makes The New Mom Club different from a standard pregnancy course?

Firstly, my years of practical experience, and in addition, most courses stop at the birth. The New Mom Club looks at the bigger picture: pregnancy, birth, and the period afterwards. Besides practical preparation, we pay attention to recovery, mental health, sleep, relationship changes, expectations, and the transition to motherhood. Are the videos long?

No, the videos are intentionally kept short and clear, usually between 6 and 10 minutes. This way, you can easily watch them when it suits you, without long evenings in front of a screen.

For The New Mom Plan (premium): How does a personal intake work?

After registration, we will schedule a personal conversation in which we look at your situation, wishes, previous experiences, and what you need. Based on that, you will receive personal guidance and practical tools that match your pregnancy and the period afterwards.

What is the difference between the Courses, The New Mom Plan and The New Mom Premium

The Courses
Within the course, you can choose what suits you:
– only the childbirth course
– only the postpartum recovery course
– or both together as a complete program
You will follow all components online and at your own pace, with short and clear videos that are easy to watch in between.
Additionally, you will gain access to the community, including a monthly LIVE session where we discuss topics and answer questions.

The New Mom Plan
The New Mom Plan includes the above courses but is tailored more personally to your situation.
You will receive:
